5th Grade Celebration

Your hub for everything you need to know about our upcoming 5th grade celebrations.

Hello 5th Grade Families!

5th Grade Week is coming up soon! We have an exciting five days planned and we can’t wait to

celebrate this amazing group of kids. Please read this message in its entirety, as we have
included the full schedule and all the details you’ll need. Below is the schedule of events for the
5th grade students.

Please note: All parents are invited to the Escape to Middle School event on Friday 5/15. All
other events welcome parent volunteers only. 

SCHEDULE:

Friday 5/15 – Escape to Middle School Party

11:00am – 1:00pm

*ALL PARENTS INVITED* - please note that you will enter through the playground gates and sign in.
Volunteers should follow the volunteer schedule and check in at the front office.

Join us for an outdoor party as students complete various games/activities and try to “escape” to
middle school! Stations include games like: “Crack the Code” where students will work to open
combination locks, “Schedule Scramble” where they will work to solve a 6th grade class schedule puzzle, and a giant inflatable obstacle course known as the “Hallway Hustle”.

WEAR: Sunscreen

MENU: Lunch will be provided for students only. Chick-fil-a 5 count nugget, chips, and cookies
(a vegetarian option for those who listed special dietary needs), ice pops, capri suns and
waters.

Monday 5/18 – 5th Grade Breakfast Celebration & Teacher Trivia

Students will be treated to a special breakfast! They will also get to play Teacher Trivia where
they will be asked some fun questions about their 5

th grade teachers to see who really knew

their teachers best this year.

MENU: Donut Station, fruit, yogurt, granola bars, and juice (menu subject to change)

Tuesday 5/19 – Yearbook Signing, Ice Cream Truck & Sidewalk Games

Students will have some time in the morning to sign yearbooks. Later in the day they will be
treated to an Ice Cream truck and some sidewalk games outside.

MENU: Best Ice Cream on Wheels

*Promotion Ceremony at Hopewell Middle School, 6:00-7:00pm, students arrive at 5:30pm*

Wednesday 5/20 - 5th Grade End of Year Party

Celebrate! Karaoke will keep the party going and we’ll have an awesome photobooth so they
can take all the photos and make all the memories!

WEAR: 5th Grade T-shirts (they will be signing their 5th grade t-shirts)

MENU: Cheese Pizza, chips, cookies, ice pops, juice and waters

Thursday 5/21 - Escape Party Rain Date OR Outdoor Games and Fun

This date will be used as a potential rain date for the Escape to Middle School event. If a rain
date is not needed, the students will be treated to popcorn, a DJ, and games while they make
lasting memories together before their last day of Elementary School comes to an end!

MENU: popcorn and drinks after lunch
